DERS NO WAY UR TEKEN KARIS HERT

One time my friends played a KH drinking game where you have to take a sip every time you hear ‘heart’, ‘key’, ‘dark’, ‘light’, or any of the main characters’ names.

They were already seeing two Soras by the time they entered the Riku battle, so they didn’t fare too well. That unskippable cutscene got them flat out wasted.

Oh, really? Thanks!! <3 Yeeeeeah, I didn’t feel like bleaching my hair lol

Your hair in the Pacific Rim cosplay is FANTASTIC. Is there a tutorial you used you could link to or something in that ilk for those of us that want to look a fraction of that badass?

Oh, thank you so much! I didn’t use a tutorial or anything, but I’ll try to offer some advice from what I’ve learned. >__<;;

First, get a wig that fits—and fits WELL (or is adjustable). Many high quality wigs give information about cap sizes. I bought a long-haired lace front wig for $65 on eBay. Lace front wigs tend to be more expensive, but they make the hairline look more natural. There are plenty of tutorials out there for cutting the excess lace and applying lace front wigs.

Braiding the wig is kinda difficult. We found it easier to do it on a dummy head. Try sticking a sewing pin through the wig/dummy head so it won’t slide around as much while you braid.

Use a blonde, non-mesh wig cap. Once the wig is braided, there will be gaps between the wefts. Wearing the blonde wig cap makes these gaps nigh unnoticeable. You can also use blonde bobby pins and styling gel to cover some of these gaps with loose strands of the wig hair. (Hair extensions and blonde wig glue might work, too, though I didn’t go that route).

The wig was bottom heavy, and despite my best efforts, it kept sliding off the back of my head. In a desperate attempt to fix the problem, I used several safety pins (left over from the Cherno Alpha jacket art lol) to pin the wig to the wig cap. I then concealed the safety pins in the wig using styling gel and hairspray. This worked beautifully, and people were none the wiser. If you do this, though, be careful having safety pins so close to your scalp.

Um…that’s all I can think of at the moment. I hope that helps! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. I would love to see how your cosplay turns out <3
